Conversion from opening hours to service hours
Since DVD rental was discontinued in the Media Center during the 2024 autumn vacations and most customers come registered, we switched from fixed opening hours to appointments during service hours on 1 January 2025.
If you want to borrow, evaluate or discuss something, please make an appointment during service hours. The service hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 12pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm to 4pm. Please pre-order at 12 noon on the day before the desired delivery date. Please note your delivery days (Mon/Thu or Tue/Fri - there is no delivery on Wednesdays).
New in the media center's offer: The digital consultation hour
Whether you have questions about the NRW education media library, Edumaps, iPads, media education topics or offers. In future, the Media Center will be available to answer your questions digitally for one hour a month. If your questions cannot be answered directly, the Media Center team will find a solution or forward your questions to the right contact person.

New in rental: VR glasses
The Ministry of Schools and Education has equipped the municipal media centers with VR glasses. You can now borrow these VR cases from us. We have four cases with eight VR glasses each and two cases with four VR glasses each for hire. Use is recommended from the age of around twelve.
In the VIL portal (opens in a new tab) you will find films, applications and apps that you can use on the VR glasses. Tell us what you want and the team from the media center will play the content you want on the VR case. You will receive instructions on how to use the cases on site.
